Help! I Put Lotion On My Hands And Now Cannot Turn This Round Doorknob!

Well, this is embarrassing.

I thought I was ahead of schedule today, but right before leaving my room, I rubbed some lotion on my hands to prevent my hangnails from getting worse. Turns out that doing that was a big mistake, because the lotion on my hands has made them too slippery to turn the round doorknob on my bedroom door! I need help!

I’ve tried using my forearms as a sort of “clamp” on the door, but it has proven to be incredibly difficult. The most pathetic part of all of this is that the door doesn’t even have a lock on it. I’m trapped behind an unlocked door!

At one point, it felt like the lotion on my hands had dried enough for me to get a good grip on the handle, but it turned out that there was still a large amount of lotion on the doorknob, so all I ended up doing was re-moisturizing my hand. This was good news for my hangnails, but bad news for me.

Now, I’m just sitting in the corner of the room, waiting for both my hands as well as the doorknob to dry. I hope that my boss will understand why I’m 3 hours late for work. All I know is that once I’m out of here, I will never take my dry hands for granted again.
